Class Title: Nighttime Illuminations Instructor: Donna Remmert Class Term: April 9-May 7, 2012 enroll in this class Synopsis This is a course in remembering, recording, and interpreting dreams to stimulate life writing and personal growth. Class Description The material for the class includes a sixteen-page booklet (emailed as a Word document) that will include a workshop agreement, techniques for remembering and recording a dream, basic Jungian theory, a dictionary of Jungian terminology, and a list of recommended books about dreams. Participants will work one-on-one with the instructor. After each dream has been worked and the dreamer has written about herself in relation to the dream's meanings, participants can share the dream, the interpretation and the story with others participants of the workshop if they elect to. Sharing is always dreamer's choice. Outline Week 1: Reading, discussion of booklet, submission of dream, writing about dream. Weeks 2-4: Submissions of dreams, discussion, writing. Instructor Bio Donna Remmert has led dream interpretation workshops since 1980 and writing circles since 2001. Her background in dream study includes a year of training to become a lay dream teacher under Monteque Ullman, former head of the Maimonides Dream Laboratory in Brooklyn, New York; several years of workshop participation at Jungian centers in New York City, Houston and Austin; two years of participation in a study group dedicated to reading the collected works of Carl Jung, led by Jungian analyst Charles Dominey; workshop participation in Dream Tending, led by Stephen Aizenstat, Ph.D. and president of Pacifica Institute; and workshop participation in a dream seminar led by Jeremy Taylor in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
