Synopsis
This course explores the second half of women's life and what it means to become an elder, a wise woman, and a crone. We will use myths, stories, and poetry about the wise woman as writing prompts. Class Description
This is an ideal class for women in midlife who are interested in myth, story, and imagination as a tool for writing. Only basic computer skills and access to an email address are needed.
At the end of the class, students will be able to listen to the inner voice of the wise woman to deepen their relationship with themselves, their writing, and the world.
All course material will be delivered via e-mail using our Yahoo group.

- Unit 2: The Call to Adventure. Writing about Change.
- Unit 3: The Threshold. Writing about the Unknown.
- Unit 4: The Dark Cave. Writing about Darkness.
- Unit 5: Meeting The Wise Woman. Writing about the Wise Woman.
Student Skills, Equipment, and Time Required
Students should be able to complete assignments using a word processor. E-mail and participation in Yahoo group are required. Time required: 1 hour per week.

Instructor Bio
Reda Rackley, M.A., is a cultural mythologist, author, Women Studies educator, & storyteller. She lectures and facilitates women's retreats bridging mythology, depth psychology, and spirituality.
