Class Title: Freewriting: Gateway to Creativity
Instructor: B. Lynn Goodwin
Class Term:
We are not accepting any more enrollments for Lynn's class; the class has started.

Synopsis

Whether you are brimming with ideas, facing writer's block, or disorganized, Freewriting: Gateway to Creativity can open you up and help you find your voice. Explore, expand, and vent if you need to. Find hope as the exercises guide you and reawaken your creative self.

Class Description

Each week the instructor will suggest several activities. You can do them all or pick and choose. Part of finding your creativity is finding what works for you. You'll have six days to respond with 15 to 1500 words. Send each assignment one at a time or send them all at once. The instructor will give you positive feedback and suggestions for the next steps. You can respond to reinforce another writer's voice if you want to.

At the end of the class, students will be able to tap into their creative selves; explore the woman beneath the surface; write the stories of their lives more fearlessly; hone in on their messages and the power of their unique voices; open themselves up to what is right in their writing and the world.

The class will use an internet discussion group (yahoogroups). Students are strongly encouraged to purchase a copy of the instructor's book, You Want Me To Do What? Journaling For Caregivers. It includes over 200 sentence starts which will help people facing writer's block. (There are some great bargains on Amazon.)
