Class Title: Tapping Into Your Creative Wisdom

Synopsis

Using the book, Nine Modern Day Muses and a Bodyguard, by Jill Badonsky, class participants will embark on a journey of creative exploration. During our time together, we'll be exploring various forms of creative inspiration. If you're feeling overwhelmed, looking to overcome creative blocks, or just needing a creative boost, join us on this playful journey.

Class Description

With the help of ten creative muses, we'll be taking a whimsical journey designed to tap into our imagination, our need for creative breaks, our desire for clarity, and our wish to engage in a more creative process. Course lessons will be delivered by e-mail via a Yahoo group list serv. Participants will explore creative exercises (writing, poetry and simple artwork)based on the material in the corresponding chapters of Nine Modern Day Muses. They may either submit their weekly assignments or a weekly summary of their creative process for individual, private feedback from the instructor. All participants will be encouraged to share their course work and/or comments on the creative process with the group.

Student Skills, Equipment, and Time Required

Course participants will need access to the internet and an e-mail address for course communication, as well as a word processor for documenting course work. It will take approximately two hours each week to complete the course reading and assignments.

Tuition/Fees for this course

SCN members: $256. Non-SCN members: $320.

Instructor Bio

Tina Games Tina Games is a freelance writer, creativity and life purpose coach, and journaling workshop facilitator for women who are challenged by issues related to the loss of personal identity and who desire a more authentic life, filled with purpose, passion and creative expression. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and their two children.
