Journaling is a special and magical way of molding each of your life's experiences into an outcome of self-discovery, learning and joy. It empowers you to move through whatever causes you emotional pain, stress, fear, and confusion until, far back in the distance, you can view it all from the perspective of wisdom and gratitude—a rich tapestry woven from all the powerful and mundane experiences that have unfolded in your life. Class Description

During this course you will explore the many ways of joining pen and paper to tap into your natural knowing, delve deeply into your inner resources and allow yourself to discover your own answers; find the style of keeping your personal journal that suits you; learn to use proven journal writing techniques for ongoing self-inventory, overcoming blocks, gaining insights and clarity, and exploring life experiences as learning opportunities.

The Instructor will send you weekly writing assignments designed to encourage you to learn and use proven journal writing techniques. You can post any questions and/or your responses at any time. She will respond to all posts, and encourage you to embrace being confident in becoming your own coach and advisor. All posts will be visible and by sharing with others, we will be sharing all of our dream adventures.

Students who successfully complete this course will learn how to use the thoughtful and peaceful process of keeping a journal to open to self-discovery, let go of the past, break free of limiting roles, and gain a renewed sense of self with the ability to embrace her dreams.

Student Skills, Equipment, and Time Required

Basic Internet and computer skills, such as word processing, web browsing and e-mail are needed. Participation in Yahoo group is required.

Time required: 2-3 hours per week, though it's likely students will discover they want to spend more time writing, sharing what she is learning, asking Joyce questions and interacting with new journaling friends.

Tuition/Fees for this course

SCN members: $256. Non-SCN members: $320.
